Stronger speech. Clearer language. Meaningful connections.

Individualised speech pathology for children and adults in Sydney’s North Shore, with mobile and clinic-based services.

Communication is an important part of learning, relationships and everyday life. At JC Speech Pathology, we work with individuals and families to understand their communication needs, identify meaningful goals and explore practical ways to support participation in everyday activities.

Speech Pathology for Children and Adults

Everyone communicates differently, and each person brings their own strengths, experiences and goals. We provide individualised support based on the communication needs of each person.

Children's Speech Pathology

We support children with a range of speech, language and communication needs, working towards goals that are meaningful to the child and their family.

Our areas of support include:

  • Speech and language development — understanding language, expressing ideas and communicating needs.

  • Speech sounds — developing speech clarity and helping children be understood.

  • Autism and communication support — supporting meaningful communication, individual strengths and participation.

  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)— exploring communication boards, pictures, Key Word Signs (KWS), speech-generating devices and other supports where appropriate.

  • Literacy — supporting relevant language and foundational literacy skills.

  • Fluency and stuttering — providing individualised support for children who experience stuttering.

  • Orofacial Myology— supporting appropriate oral resting posture and functional movement of the lips, tongue and jaw.

Adult Speech Pathology

Communication difficulties can affect everyday conversations, relationships, independence and participation in the community.

JC Speech Pathology works with adults to understand their communication needs and explore appropriate assessment, strategies and supports based on their individual circumstances and goals.
